Y.M.C.A.
MONTHLY MEETING OF AUXILIARY. The president (Mrs G. R. Beecroft) presided at the regular monthly meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary held at the residence of the president yesterday afternoon. There was a good attendance of members. Mesdames E. G. Coddington and G. Hessell were elected to membership and a hearty welcome was extended to these two ladies by the president and members.
A resignation was received from one member who was leaving Masterton. The resignation was accepted with regret.
The president reported on the children’s fancy dress party which had been arranged by the executive. The function was voted a splendid success and the Auxiliary’s funds were benefited thereby. Arrangements were made to hold the annual Mother and Son Tea on June 13, providing the date proved suitable. It was expected that the kitchen facilities would be available by that date.
Routine business was transacted, after which Mesdames Elmsley, Taylor and Bannister entertained the ladies to afternoon tea.
