A sheet of paper dated April 1, 1924, and purporting to bear, in Herr Hitler’s handwriting, the nomination cf Captain Rohm as military leader of the Kampfbund (Union of Combat) was sold for 18,000 francs (£120) at the Hotel Drouot in Paris recently. Another piece of paper’ bearing 13 lines of a manuscript by Signor Mussolini on the conquest of the State by Fascism fetched 4500 francs (£3O). The Geological Survey of India reports the discovery of a belt 12 miles wide of volcanic rocks in the Himalayas, extending from south of Astor through the head of the Burzil valley to beyond Dras. in Ladak.
