A notable visitor to Masterton is the Right Reverend L. S. Kempthorne, Bishop of Polynesia, who will give an address at 3 p.m. on Thursday. April 21. in the Parish Hall, illustrating his remarks by lantern slides. Bishop Kempthorne is a New Zealander. With the help of the British Navy. Bishop Kempthorne visits scattered islands in the Pacific and by cargo boat visits annually all parts of Fiji. Samoa and Tonga. The Bishop has an arresting story to tell of work in his scattered diocese. There is no charge for admission but a collection will be made on behalf of the mission.
