OBITUARY
«s> MR HENRY WHITE. The death occurred at the Masterton Hospital this morning, at the age of 71 years, of Mr Henry White, a wellknown resident of the Pahiatua district for a long period of years. The late Mr White, who had been ill for a few days only, was born in Lighthome, England, and came out to New Zealand 35 years ago. He took up his residence at Hamua and for 27 years was employed on the outside staff of the Eketahuna County Council. Following on'the death of his wife about five years ago he came to Masterton* and had since resided with his son, Mr A. White, of Bannister Street. The late Mr White is survived by three sons, Messrs C. E. (Carterton), R. H. (Hastings) and A. White (Masterton), and five daughters, Mesdames E. Cavanagh (Pahiatua), L. G. Baucks (Waitara) and N. R. Woodmoss (Napier), and Misses S. White (Waitara) and H. White (Masterton). There are 23 grandchildren. The funeral will take place on Monday at Mangatainoka.
