MAURICEVILLE

(“Times-Age” Special.) On the occasion of her approaching marriage, the friends of Miss Mary McGovern gathered in large numbers at the hall on Saturday evening to tender her a kitchen tea. A most pleasant evening was spent. Mr H. Myers called on Miss McGovern to open the numerous parcels. Mr W. Cheetham, on behalf of the Table Tennis and Lawn Tennis clubs, asked her to accept a beautiful crystal reading lamp. Mr E. W. Cheetham also spoke and on behalf of the Sports Club presented her with a bronze fruit bowl. Mr Alex Urquhart replied on behalf of Miss McGovern.

Supper was served and dancing was continued till midnight.
