There was a fairly large attendance of parents at the primary school yesterday afternoon when Dr A. Dr PlattsWills was able to impress upon her listeners the benefits of certain foods. She strongly advocated brown bread, in preference to white bread, and also offered suggestions for suitable luncheons. A number of questions were asked and answered by the doctor, who at the conclusion was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. FELL ENGINES. The first of the Fell engines stationed at Cross Creek, where they are used to haul the trains over the Rimutakas, has returned from the Railway Workshops, where it has been fitted with electric lights. The remaining engines are to be similarly fitted, which will be a great improvement on the old system. PERSONALS. Miss N. Wilson and Miss Barker, "Petei- Pan Home,” Raumati Beach, are the guests of Mrs Geo. Yule, South Featherston. Miss Kathleen Clapshaw, of the nursing staff of the Dannevirke Hospital, is paying a short visit to Featherston. Mrs E. M. Wakely returned today from a holiday spent in Auckland. Mrs T. E.
