BOWLING
MASTERTON CLUB. (Notes by “The Bowler.”) The club competitions are nearing completion. In the handicap singles, those players still left in, are: O. Jones, S. V. Gooding, J. Watson, J. Hunter and A. Stubbings. The No. 1 green has been thoroughly worked up, and a commencement made of putting down the levels. EASTER TOURNEY. On Easter Saturday and Monday, a tournament will be played, commencing each morning at 9 o'clock. If sufficient entries come forward, rink games will be played, otherwise progressive pairs will take place. The committee will be pleased if members will make their entries as early as possible. The green is in good order, and the club extends a cordial welcome to all bowlers in the Wairarapa to take part in the tourney. WAIRARAPA CENTRE CHAMPION RINK COMPETITION At a meeting of delegates held last evening the win of the Masterton Club in the champion of champion rinks was confirmed. A committee was set up to frame rules and regulations for the future guidance of all champion of champion matches, and to report at the next meeting of the delegates. The Wairarapa Bowling Centre has decided to hold a Centre benefit tournament on the Masterton and Park greens on April 23 commencing at 1 p.m.
