MASTERTON LIBRARY

REORGANISATIAON PROCEEDING The reorganisation of the Masterton Municipal Library is proceeding. Over 1500 volumes which are considered worthless are being disposed of. One truck load has been consigned to the Public Works Department, but the remaining 700 are being destroyed. Many of the books, it appears, had remained untouched on the shelves for years. The library is now classified into sections. The juvenile section, which previously .occupied a large amount of space, was being reduced to a minimum. Although the work of classification is now almost completed no attempt has yet been made to catalogue the library.
