Huntley’s farm at Matarawa, was engaged on Saturday night in adjusting a portion of the milking plant, when his hand was caught in the machinery. Besides losing the middle finger of his right hand, two of the other fingers were crushed. RETURNED SOLDIERS. The Greytown branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association has reelected Mr H. G. Carter president, and Mr W. McMinn secretary and treasurer. Last year’s committee has been re-elected. SOLDIERS’ GRAVES. The matter of providing the graves of returned soldiers at the Greytown cemetery with suitable headstones, was discussed at the annual meeting of the Greytown branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association when it was decided to take action in this direction.
