FEATHERSTON
BROWN OWL PACK. (“Times-Age” Special.) Featherston Brownies were very fortunate in having Miss Knight, Great Brown Owl, to enrol four of their pack on Wednesday. The ceremony took place in the beautiful grounds at “Longwood,” the home of their District Commissioner. Mrs Riddiford entertained the mothers at tea, while the Brownies enjoyed games on the lawn. PERSONALS. Mrs Algar Williams has been appointed the New Zealand president of the British Bible Society. Mrs W. Stuart, Kaikoura, is visiting her mother, Mrs J. O. Sutherland, Te Parae. Mrs Chas. Rea will leave for Wellington on Friday to farewell her sister, Mrs W. Robertson. Mr and Mrs Robertson will sail in the liner, Empress of Britain, for. England, where they intend to spend a few months. A farewell to Mr and Mrs W. T. Houghton, Western Lake, was held recently, when a presentation was made to them. Mr and Mrs Houghton have left the district to live in Levin.
