TAUHERENIKAU RACECOURSE. I " (“Times-Age” 'Special.) The grounds and track at the beautiful Tauherenikau Racecourse are looking at their very best. Visitors to the Easter racing carnival will be delighted with the floral display which presents a very pleasing picture. ACCIDENTS. Miss Sutherland, daughter of Mr and Mrs D. G. Sutherland, Kahautara, had the misfortune to break her arm on Saturday. She was attended by Dr. Sharp and is making satisfactory progress. Through slipping on a polished floor, Mr Charles Noble had the misfortunate to break his right arm. PERSONAL. Mr R. R. P. Hardy, Western Lake, left for Sydney on Tuesday by the “Awatea,” where he will spend a few weeks’ holiday. Dr. G. S. Sharp attended a dinner in Welingtory given to members of the medical profession to Dr. Simpson, who will shortly leave on a trip to England. Mr H. E. Pendegrast, who has been indisposed for the last few days, has resumed duties. CARD TOURNAMENT. There were 8 tables at the Fire Brigade’s weekly card tournament held in the Anzac Hall. The following were the winners:—Ladies, Mrs Fairbrother 1, Mrs H. Worsley 2. Men, Mrs J. Rewi 1, Mrs J. Cook 2.
