WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MT. BRUCE ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Fourth Annual Meeting of the Mt. Bruce Women’s Institute was held in the hall. » The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mrs R. Campbell; vice-president, Mrs H. West; committee, Messrs. H. Daken, C. Campbell, D. McLachlan and Misses O. Campbel and B. L. Welch. A talk by Mrs Niel McKay was much enjoyed. . .’Several visitors were entertained, including Mrs Hobbs of the Bush-Wai-rarapa Federation of Women’s Institues.
Competitions resulted as follows:— Best dahlia, Mrs C. Campbell and Miss B. L. Welch, first equal. Lemingtons, Mrs McLachlan 1, Mrs H. Daken 2. Mrs R. Campbell’s bloom competition for the past year -was won by Miss I. Reader.
