TAYEOR - CARRINGTON COMEDY COMPANY.
Local play-goers will be pleased to learn that this company will pay Te Awamutu another visit on November 16th., and produce the successful musical and farcial comedies,“ A Lucky Irishman” and “ A Husband’s Night Out.” Quite a number of the latest music hail song successes is introduced into the above named plays, and our exchanges speak in the highest terms of praise of the company, both as actors and vocalists. Mr Charlie Taylor’s interpretation of an Irish gentleman in the first-named comedy is said to be wonderfully realistic and entirely free from the faults of the typical “stage Irishman.” The critic of the Auckland Star say; “Mr Charlie Taylor is undoubtedly the drollest comedian we have had in Auckland for some years. Willie Edouin at his best w- s not more comic, and there are sublelies in Mr Taylor’s acting that suggest the gilt-edge humour of J.L. Toole.” There should be a large audience to enjoy this excelient programme.
