(Own Correspondent.)
The Pirongia Troop returned home on Saturday after the annual encampment of the 4th Regiment at Hamilton. The troop was in charge of Sergt. He was deservedly popular and his loss will be deeply regretted by his many friends. Property in this district is , rapidly increasing in value. Two J recent sales show substantial increases. Sinden's farm at Whatiwhatihoe changed hands at £25 1 per acre, Mr Death being the purchaser; and Thomas Bros., of Te E\ore, have sold to Mr McConnachie at £ls per acre.
