The Musical All Blacks.
The versatile Ail Blacks family, which has gained the highest encomiums throughout the Commonwealth and New Zealand, are visiting Hamilton on Friday and Saturday next. The Blacks are a New ZealandScnttiah family of exceptional and diversified ability. Miss Nellie Black is the star artist of the company, and has been pronounced by the musical critics of the Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide 'press as a distinguished violiniste and gifted contralto, her repertoire including ’such fine numbers as Tosti’s “Good-bye,” “The Zuyder Zee,” “Long Avenue,” etc. Her classical work on the violin is characterised by splendid tone and fine technique, while she is wonderfully clever in lighter work and trick playing. Miss Elsie Black is a pianist of undoubted skill, and a clever danseuse, and Mr Bert Black a solo cornetist, ’celloist, and expert dancer. Mr Black is also an accomplished vioiinist’and pianist, and Mrs Black a proficient accompanist and organist. Mr John Black is a quaint Scotch comedian and instrumentalist. Duets, quartettes, and musical sketches are also included in a delightful programme, which closes with an exhibition of Black’s electric pictures, acknowledged by press and public to be the finest yet seen in Australasia. The company is also assisted by Mr Herbert Carrol, who, as a comedian and society entertainer, is spoken of as a second Mel. B. Spurr. A feature is also made of the electric lighting of the stage, also mechanical eil'ects under the supervision of Mr Jas. Hill and staff of assistants. So no douuht the All Blacks will bo greeted with a bumper house on their reappearance. Special rates are being charged, which will be found in advertisement. The box plan is at Raul’s.
