MORRINSVILLE FOOTBALL CLUB. The annual meeting of the Morrinsville football club was held in the Nottingham Castle Hotel. There was only a small attendance, and Mr Gaddes occupied the chair. The report stated that the senior team had suceeded in winning one match, defeating Waihou on one occasion, while the junior team had won the cup in their grade, having an unbeaten record, scoring 43 points to their opponents' nil. The balance-sheet showed a debit balance, of £1 16s lid, with a number of subscriptions still due. It was decided to continue the club, though at present it appears as though they will only be able to enter one team. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr W. J. Aitken; president, Mr F. J. Marshall vice-presidents, Messrs C. Manuel, J. M. Clifford and J. Ganley; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. J. Neel; delegates to the Piako Rugby Union, Messrs Wintere, Page and Kelly. The subscription was fixed at 3s 6d. Hearty votes -of thanks were accorded the retiring officers, especially Mr Spargo, who had acted as secretary for a number of years. Mr Spargo briefly responded, and the usual compli ment to the chair concluded the business. The secretary would deem it a favour if any players residing within the district, would forward their names in case they ma be overlooked.
