ACCIDENT TO A BISHOP.

(BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). . Auckland. This Day. The Bishop of North Queensland, while driving in a trap with the Rev. G. A. Carver, met with rather a serious accit dent. There was a good deal of tramway traffic at the Ponsonby reservoir corner, and the trap had to thread its way through. Owing to some obstacle the horse swerved, and a tram which was coming along at the time ran right into the trap. The Bishop and Mr Carver were thrown over the back into the road. Assistance was soon at hand and doctors in attendance. Mr Carver escaped with a severe shaking. Bishop Frodsham was more seriously hurt, having received a severe scalp wound. He has been ordered to remain perfectly quiet for ft week. All his engagements have been cancelled.
