BRITISH AND FOREIGN BIBLE SOCIETY.
A LARGELY-ATTENDED meeting of the members of the Hamilton branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society was held on Tuesday evening at Mr W. A. Graham's residence. Aftei the usual routine business was disposed ot, it was decided that some epecial effort should be made to increase the interest in the work of the society by the distribution of some hundreds monthly of the society's magazine and by the placing of contribution boxes in the homes of the people and in places of public resort. A special tet of slides dealing with the history of the Bible and the work of the society was placed at the disposal of the members by Dr. Hosking, and the Rev. J. M. Mitchell promised to give lectures in connection with the same during the September moon.
