THE MISSING PERTHSHIRE.
Up to the time the Telegraph Office closed last night, there was no uewo of the Perthshire ; she is now 19 days out from Sydney. Several vessels have arrived from Australia, which sailed after the Perthshire, but noue havs seen anything of her. AmoDgst nautical men there is no very great uneasiness, their belief being that her machinery has broken down and that her sail power is not sufficient to enable her to make any headway against a foul wind. (by telegraph—press association). Wellington, Last Night. The Premier received a telegram from the Government of New Soutli Wales, asking the Government to arrange a search for the Perthshire, but it has already been arranged that the Hinemoa should start to-day from Westport examine the West Coast, also Solander's and Stewart's Islands. The Hinemoa did not go further South than Milford Sound and unless a mistake was made as to the locality, it could not have been her that was seen by the Hawea off George's Sound.
