WHATAWHATA.
A BALL, given by the young ladies of the district, took place in Iwersen's Hall on Tuesday eveuing. and, like its predecessors, was a great success. The interior of the building was decorated for the occasion with evergreens, etc., and ko efforts were spared by the fair promoters—of whom Miss Charleston was hon. tec.—to make their guests enjoy themselves. Capital music was provided by Messrs Muuro and Drury (cornet and piano), aua, in addition, Mr C. C. Cox rendered some good songs during the evening. Mr W. McCutcheon acted as M.C. Ample refreshments were provided, and dancing was kept up until the small hours.—(Own Correspondent).
