NATIVE LAND COURT AT CAMBRIDGE.

Yesterday morning a Native Land Court opened at Cambridge before Major Mair (Judge) and Mr John Bryers (assessor), Mr Hammond being clerk and interpreter. Although the Court opened yesterday, it is not expected that much business will be clone before Thursday, and it will probably last about a month. About twenty-three sub-divisions are applied for, numerous successors have to be appointed, aud there are a host of new claims to be decided. Some surveyors claims that have been adjourned from former Courts have also to be adjudicated upon. The blocks in which the chief of the lauds are situated are Kuranui Whaiti, Maungatautari, Waotu and Wharepuhunga. There are also some small sections at Tauwhare and Tamahere.
