ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(by telegraph—peess association). Auckland, Last Night. Bernard Kane, a stttler, was found dead on the public road near Matakohe, under a dray, which had capsized. Masteeton, Lust Night. R. G. Williams, an old resident, and well-known in the Wellington district, committed suicide by hanging himself in the Empire Stables this morning. Financial troubles are supposed to be the cause. Deceased was Masterton'a first Mayor. Nelson, Last Night. Mr George Harper, barrister and solicitor, an old resident, was to-day seized with an apopletic fit and removed in an unconscious state to the hospital where he lies in a serious condition.
