RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
(by telegraph—press association). Auckland, Last Night. An accident to the goods train happened at Buckland late last night. All that is known of the affair, owing to the retioence of the railway authorities, is that it was the down train to Auckland, which was divided in order to get it up the bank. When the first half got near the top of the incline the couplings to one of the front waggons gave way, the balance of the train ran down the grade into the section of the train left below. There is said to be one waggon smashed, two or three damaged, and a portion ot the train was derailed.
