BREACH OF PROMISE CASES.
(by telegraph—press association). Napier, Tuesday. In the breach of promise case Delphine Barry v. John Orr, jun,, plaintiff claimed £550 damages. No defence was filed, nor did defendant appear, after hearing the plaiutiff s case, the jury were asked to assess the damages, which they did, at £l5O, with costs according to scale.
