PATERANGI.
Creamery,—The supply of milk has been bteadily increasing, and is now larger considerably than at this time last year. The quality is, however, not so good as coulit be desired, as the testing shows a low percentage of cream and consequent dissatisfaction. It is a great pity that our farmers cannot be unanimous for once and unite to carry the dairy business to a satisfactory footing.
School Matters. —At the recent examination, held by Mr Mulgan, all the children presented passed but two, and these two had not long come from other schools ; one of these the Inspector allowed to go into the next standard, so that in reality there was but one failure. Miss Macky deserves great praise for the manner in which she is bringing ou the children.
The Hall Piano.—A new piano has just betn purchased for the use of the hall, at a cost of £35, and special efforts are being made now to raite the balance of the purchase money, by means of a grand concert and dance on the 25th inst. The leading talent of the surrounding districts has been engaged, and a really good programme will be provided. The new piano will be used for the first time.—(Own Correspondent).
