KIHIKIHI.
Church Matters.—On Wednesday last the Key. Father Luck arrived back in Kihikihi, aosoropauied by Bishop Lenihan, with whom he has lately been staying in Ponsonby. I hear with regret that this will only be a visit from Father Luck, as owing to continued illhealth he will not be able to resume his parish work here. At a meeting of the vestry of Christ Church (Anglican), held on Wednesday evening, at which Mr Paget presided, it was decided to have the church re-roofed with iron as soon as convenient. It was also decided that a concert is to be held in January in aid of the general repairs fund, and as Mr S Armstrong has kindly taken the matter in hand the vcatry consider that its success is assured.
Ankcal Sports.—A notice appears in today's Argus of the meeting to be held in tho Town Hall re the Kihikihi annual sports, to be held at New Year. I need scarcely remind everyone interested to attend so that the sports may be as great a success as they were on last New Year's Day.—l Own Correspondent).
