HAMILTON ATHLETIC CLUB.

The annual meeting of the members of the Hamilton Athletic Club was held at the Royal Hotel last evening. There was a large attendance, aud Mr I. Coates occupied the chair. Balance sheet.—The Hon. Secretary read the balance-sheet, showing that the receipts for the year amounted to £l4O and the expenditure to £ll6 10s sd, leaving a credit balance of £29 9s 7d. The only liability was an account from the Hamilton Domain Board for £2 19s Bd. League of Wheelmen. —Mr E. Nordern wrote advising the Hamilton Club to affiliate with the League of New Zealand Wheelmen. After some discussion Mr Geo. Edgecumbe moved, and Mr R. J. Gwynne seconded, that the letter be received. The motion was carried unanimously. Officek.s.—The followiug officers were olected for the ensuing season :—Patrons, Messrs F. W. Lang and W. H. Hemes, M.H.R.s. President, Mr 1. Coates. Vice-Presidents, Messrs Geo. Edcecumbe, Win. Dey, R. F. Sandes, Wm. Bright, Josh. Smith and Dr. Brewis. Committee, Messrs W. von Stunner, J. Steadmau, J. Hammond, C- Speight, R. J. Gwynne, C. J. W. Barton, S. Parlour, E. Hope, W. Crawford, the President and Vice-Presidents to be members of the Committee ex officio. Judge, Mr I. Coates. Starter, Mr J. Hammond. Treasurer, Mr T. Slade. Secretary, Mr C. J. W. Barton. Handicappcrs, the Committee. Timekeepers, Messrs H. Howden and S. Harker. Ground Committee, Messrs C. Speight, J- Hammond, J. Steadmau aud W. von Stunner.

Programme : The following programme was then arranged.—Open events : Maiden race, 100 yards, first prize £1 ; boys'race, under 16, 100 yards handicap ; girls' race, under 12, 50 yards ; 100 yards handicap, first prize, £3 10s, second £l, third 10?; 220 yards handicap, first prize, £3 10.5, second £l, third 10s; boys' race, under 12, JOO yards handicap ; half-mile race, handicap, first prize £3, second 10s; 440 yards handicap, first prize £3 10s, second £l, third 10,5; one mile handicap, first prize £5, second £1 10s, third 10a; handicap trotting race (under Auckland Trotting Club rules), about three miles, first prize £7, second prize £2. Amateur events: .J-mile '•bicycle dash, 100yds. handicap ; maiden bicycle handicap, lj mile ; ladies' bracelet, 300yds, handicap ; 1 mile bicycle, championship of Waikato, open to members of Waikato Amateur Clubs ; 3-mile bicycle handicap ; 2-mile bicycle handicap ; 1 mile handicap.
