GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. MONDAY. The House met at 7 30 p.m. BILLS PASSED. The amendments made by the Council in the Water Supply Act Amendment Bill, St. Albans Public Library Transfer Act Amendment Bill and the Divorce Bill were agreed to and the Bills were passed. The following local Bills passed their final stages: —New Plymouth Borough Reserves and Street Exchanges; Wellington Company Reclamation and Public Baths; Johnston Village School Reserve ; Borough of Onehunga Water Supply, and Little River Domain Board Empowering. A COUNT OUT. The Wellington City Streets Bill met with considerable objection in Committee, it being contended that it would perpetuate a system of narrow streets. On the House resuming after the supper adjournment, there was a count out and the House adjourned at 11.10 p.m., for want of a quorum, there being only 18 members present.
