DEATH OF MR EDWIN HOPE.
(by telegraph—press association). Wellington, Last Night. Messes Johnston and Co., agents for the P. and O.S.N. Company, has-c been advised that Mr Edwin Hope, a second saloon passenger from Wellington, per R.M.S. Arcadia, died at sea from influenza on the 10th inst. Deceased was formerly dispenser to the Wellington Hospital, and his relatives reside at Hamilton. The news conveyed by the above telof ram will prove a sad shock to the many rienda of the deceased young man and his family. Great sympathy will be felt and expressed for his patents at the loss of their eldest son, who was going Home to complete his studies for the medical profession, of which he bid fair to become a distinguished member, having, during his short life, displayed considerable ability and assiduity, the two qualities which mainly conduce to a successful career. His parents, relatives and friends have our most heartfelt sympathy.
