THE PHILIPPINES.
REBELS DEFEATED. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH,—COPYRIOHT). Sydney, April 27. News received to-day from Manila reports that the Philippine rebels have experienced a severe check at Bolinoa. Three hundred were sent to fire Manila, and large bodies of men were stationed at Bolinoa and on the surrounding hills to co-operate with them, but the Spanish troops routed them, killing 3000 persons, including women and childrou.
