SHIPMENT OF LIVE STOCK,

The live stock at Dunedin on Friday shipped by the steamer Pakeha comprised the pioneer shipment of stud cattle from this colony for the Argentine. This comprised four yearling bulls from Mr John Dean's Riccarton herd of Shorthorns, and a yearling and three one-year-old Hereford bulls from Mr John Holmes' Waimahaka herd. The' stud sheep comprised 42 Lincoln rams and ewes from the flock of Mr Henry Overton, of Canterbury, and 10 shearling Romney Marsh rams, and 10 maiden ewes from the flock of Mr James Holmes, of Waimahaka.
