PUTTING A STONE ON THE LINE.

(by telegraph—own correspondent). Auckland, Last Night. William C. Murray, aged 11 years, was charged at the Police Court this morning, with putting a stone on the railway line at Newmarket on January 18th. Evidence, given by two girls, served to convict the accused, whose parents were ordered to find surety of £2O and guarantee the boy's good be haviour in the future. No damage was sustained by the train.
