PAINFUL ACCIDENT.

(BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Last Night. A young man, named Walter Lee, residing at Laranui, Parua Bay, met with a severe accident on Monday. He and a mate were taking honey from a beehive and had occasion to fell the limb of the tree in which the hive was built. This fell, on Lee, first striking him on the back and then severely lacerated his left leg, tearing the fLsh from the bone from the thigh to the ankle, and twisting the sinews on the inside of the knee. Grave doubts are expressed as to his recovery. ■
