BETTING WITH " INFANTS."
(BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT). Thames, Last Night. At the Police Coun to-day judgment was given in the cases against E. Leydon, E. Glover, M. Kirwin and Roth, bookmakers, for betting with "infants" at the Parawai races. Defendants were fiued £5 each and costs, Mr Clendon, solicitor for accused, stated that very likely the decision would be appealed against.
