WELCOME RAINS.
(by telegraph.—own correspondent). Wakapuaka, Last Night. Hkavy rain has set in throughout the Nelson district, and th re is no s'gn of abatement. It will do an immense amount of good, as the country hia been suffering severly from the effects of the long continued drought. The downpour hus also comp'etely extinguished the bush fires in var.ous parts of the district.
