AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.
(B\ TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, List Night. A sudden demand set in this morning for shares in the Bunker's Hill Company. A few.days ago these shares were sold at 9d. Yesterday parcels changed hands at Is, and by noon to-day Is 6d was offered, but the lowest selling quotation was 2i Gd. Buyers of Waihi Grand Junction shares &l?o advanced their prices to-day from J2s 6d to 16s, but no salts were quoted. An advance also took place, in Waihi-Silvertons, buyers offering 93 without sales nsuiting. Many of the lower-priced Ohinetr.uri stocks were inquired for, (id being offered for Wentworths, 4Jd fir Talisman Extendeds, I'jd for Ttu'ons, 6 1 for Waihi fixtendeds, 4£d for Ohinemuris, and GJd for Imperials, but holders preferred to wait for better prices. Investing stocks had better demand. Buyers of Union Steamship shares advanced to 92t Gd, while 47s 3d was offered for paid up New Zealand Drug Company shares. Union Oil shares firmed a little. ISs being offered, while New Zealand Insurance shares were wanted at 66s Gd ; National, 16s 3J ; South British, f>o.< 6d ; New Z-aland Accident, 21s 6J.
