ELECTRIC LIGHTING ON TRAINS.
(by telegraph—own correspondent). Wellington, Last Night. After a month's test the lighting of the trains oil the Wellington-Manawatu line with stored electricity in accumulator cells in the guard's van system is pronounced r,, complete success, the light be'ng of great power and burning steadily. It is intended to extend the electric lighting from the through trains to the local trains.
