POLO SPORTS.

Thk Waingaro and Ngaruawahia Polo Club have arranged to hold a Beries of sports and races at the Ngaruawahia racecourse, on Anniversary Day, 29th inst. A very attractive programme of nine events has been drawn up, and the diversity of the contests should provide excellent amusement and excitement for those who attend. It is not ofteu that contests of th's kind are held in Waikato and their novelty is sure to prove a considerable attraction. Among the items is the Bending Competition, Polo Ball Race, Tandem Kace, Gretna Green Race (in fancy dress) and Tug-of-War on bareback ponies, as well as Hurdle Race, Polo Cup, Ladies' Bracelet, and Consolation Hace. All ponies mils*, be duly qualified and must be ridden by members of Polo Nominations close with the hon. sees. (Messrs A. Upton and E. Rathborue) at the Waipa Hotel, Ngaruawahia, at 8 p.m. on Friday, 28th inst.
