DANGEROUS STATE OF THE PAEROA-TE AROHA LINE.
Paeroa, Tuesday. The buckling of the railway line at He'ensville, which caused such a lamentable accident yesterday, does not stand alone, for the line between Paeroa and Te Aroha also suffered from the intense heat. In fact, on New Year's Day it took the train an hour and a-half to negotiate the distance between the two places, and even though traveling at such a slow pace some of the possengers were thrown from their seats by the continuous rocking of the carriages. Upon arrival at Te Aroha Guard. Craig considered it tco risky, to return to Paeroa, when the line was in such a state, but after a good deal of trouble, two gangs of the platelayers were set to work, and they succeeded in getting the line back to its proper position, thereby enabling the train to return to Paeroa in the morning. At Morrinsville I understand the same trouble was experii need yesterday, but the line wa9 to-day again rendered taie, N.Z. Herald.
