SALE OF GROWN LAND
(BY TEMSGEAVH —OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland Last Night. A hale of Crown lands was lielii to day, when leases, for 14 years, of 3 acres, 1 rood, S perches", in the township of Rotorua, fronting Amohau, Fenton and Tutanokai-streeets, and 4 acres front : ng Amohau and Hineinaru-strccts, were disposed of to Mr Stephen P. Brent at rentals of £lO and £l9 per annum respectively. Several sections of land in the Totatorua district, Northern VVairoa, were offered for sale for cash. Tho~e sold were : Eight acres, bought by Mr McGuiuness for £25 10s ; seven acres three roods, bought by Mr Bascombe fur £24. Twelve sections were passed in. The Crown Lands Department announce that a large area of the Opuatia Block, Raglan County, Lower Waikato River, will be offered for sale or selection on Wednesday, December 22nd. The total area is 5720 ucres, divided into sixteen sections. This block is secondclass surveyed land, and comprises broken and forest land ; it is well watered and situated about eight to ten miles fro;n Onewhero, and five from Port Waikato. It is being surveyed by Messrs Galbraith and Seaton, Government surveyors. ___^___^_^_
