DARING BURGLARY.

(liY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT), Wellington, Last Night. BuBULARti visited the premises of Batkin, a tobacconist at Laaibtoii Quay, last night. They broke in at the baok, but on trying- to enter the shop wore foiled by a steel-lined door and went oil' to Hannah's boot warehouse, a few yards away, whence they made oil' with a cartload of boots. Several boxes full were piled at the broken windows evidently ready to be taken away. The thieves must have had a cart waiting, but were disturbed before securing all the plunder they intended to take.
