The Waikato Argus Office, Wednesday. MR W. J. HUNTER'S OHAUPO SALE. On Tuesday at Mr W. J. Hunter's yards over 300 head were yarded, fully onethird being dairy cows, many of a good clas9 and in good condition, but rather backward, consequently the sale dragged a bit in that line. Not many grown steers offered, but calves and youcg stock are still in demand at fair prices Beef sold fairly well, and a considerable number of fat cows aud heifers were sold. Prices as follows :—Dairy cows, from £3 to £5 10s, most of them selling at about £4 10s ; several pens of calves sold at from 26s for mixed sexes, to 26* 6d for steers ; small empty heifers, 33s 6d ; empty cows, in low condition, 39s ; one bull, £4 15s ; fat heifers, from £3 Ss to £3 10s ; fat cows, from £3 10s to £4 15s. Sheep : About 700 were yarded, all of a good class and in good condition, and all sold with the exception of a pen or two. Ewes in lamb, Ss ; fat fourtooth wethers, lis 2d ; empty Ss ; longwool hoggets, from 6s 7d to 6s lid.
