AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

(131' TELEGRAM—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Last Night. A little more business was transacted on the Exchange to-day, owing to quite a brisk demand for shares in the Great Barrier Mining Company. A number of gentlemen went down to the Island this week to view the mines, and the result was regarded as highly satisfactory, lonas advanced from Is sellers, to sales at Is 3d. Aoteas sold freely from 7d to Sd, and Kaitak'S at od. Other stocks were neglected. Victorias sold as low as 2s 61, but there was a demand for Hauraki North (contributing), of which shares sold at 2s od and 2s 4d. Jupiters changed hands at 2s, aud Stanleys at 9Ad. There were steady buyers of Talismans, Welcome Finds, Tararu Creeks, Albumins, Moanataris, Kuranuis and Caledonians, but at greatly lower rates.
