The Summer Meeting of the Takapuna Jockey Chip is fixed for to-morrow afternoon, when another large attendance is promised. The heavy rain this week will make the racing track very holding, and tend to make it more difficult to unearth the winners from their concealment. "Hippona " ventures the following selections for the events of the programme : Maiden Hukdles—Glenlora or Hukatero Borough Handicap—Forangi Potac or Isightingale Handicap Hurdles—Miss Nelson Summer Handicap—An tares Disposal Stakes—Bouquet Pony Handicap—Repeat or Partan Jennie Steeplechase—Miss Nelson or Glenlora Devonport Hand - cap-—Antarcs or Lady Marion. The. racing mare Nightingale was offered by Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons to-day, but failed to find a purchaser.. The entries for the South Auckland Racing Club's meeting on March 6th, closod last night. A large number have been received, but as all the Auckland ones are not yet to hand they will not be published until Tuesday.
