A lahge meeting of Protestant ministers strongly deprecated 'Cardinal Moran's candidature for the Federal Convention, but as the l'riniate and several leading clergymen refused to take any action, the meeting was robbed of a good deal of interest. The nominations for the Federal Convention closed to-night. There are 49 candidates from Now South Wales and 30 from Victoria.
