THE CRISIS CRETE.
* Athens, February 11. The Greek fleet has left for Ctinea, and there aro nnuoursof war between Greece and Turkey. Reports from Constantinople state that the Sultan has sent a warship and a transport with Turkish reinforcements to Crete. M. Delyauuis, tho Premier of Greece, protested against the despatch of the Greek fleet to Crote, but tho King insisted on the grounds of humanity. This action renders it difficult for the Powers to prevent Turkey sending reinforeoments to Crete. Tho Parisian and Russian journals warn Greece that sho will be responsible if war ensues. Six Greek torpedo boats have sailed for Crete, in command of Prince Georgo. The object in view is to prevent the landing of Turkish troops. The King, together with thousands of spectators, was present at the farewell ceremony. Great excitement prevails throughout Greece. The Government has sent a note to the Powers justifying their action in sending the warships to Crete as a duty they owed to their fellow-coun-trymen in Crete. A band of Moslems burned a portion of the town of Retimos, on the north coast of Crete.
