WORRYING DOGS SHOT
Waimarino District Council officers shot seven dogs that were worrying sheep in late January. Two of the dogs were known to have killed eight sheep, another two killed 10 and the other three were found amongst stock, according to staff. At least one of the culprits was a pedigree dog, said a council staff member.
