PUBLISHER ALTERS CAR

While on the subject of alterations, Bulletin publisher John Woods left for Auckland recently in his full sized Falcon and returned a few days later with an upholstered and motorized skiboot (one of the shopping basket class of cars). A car load of non-English speaking foreigners decided to turn an Auckland corner, unaware of the kiwi custom of waiting till there are no cars! Why John didn't take advantage of the ski season, with its ijiherent crazy drivers, to smash ud his car is not fullv understood.
