WANGANUI GOATS CULLED

Goats in the Whanganui National Park are under pressure from two Department of Conservation employed cullers. The two men went back into the bush last week for a month, after a week's rest from a month of culling in the John Coull Hut area. There they killed about 250 goats. The goats are being culled because they "would eat various species into extinction" according to DoC officers.
