WINDY DAY SPRAYING NOT FAIR ON NEIGHBOURS

A man who did not wish to be named told the Bulletin last week that he had seen weed spray ing being carried out in Goldfinch Street under totally unsuitable conditions. He said at the time, early aftemoon on October 25, windy conditions were prevalent. He asked that the Bulletin remind gardeners of the foolhardiness of spraying in windy conditions in a residential area. Conservation officers back up the man's concern, saying that to use sprays in residential areas in windy conditions would be unfair on neighbours whose gardens could very easily be damaged by drifting spray.
